hi had another thought for you to help with agility work. i place the cones out in a zig zag style then work the dog in front of me sending it down, out to the the left then to the right all the time the dog is working in front of me even as i walk down the middle. the dog is learning to listen to my hand signals for left and right direction changes and the terms for left & right. it is fun learning to do before the jumps are introduced.

Weave poles beyond doubt come in clever.
Sparky favorite is jumping over them. I’ve never yet tried barrel racing with the weave poles, I reckon we’ll do that!

You gave me a bunch of thoughts, thanks!
How about pray with the front paws on the pole? I don’t know, now you got me thinking about tricks to do with weave poles though!

Like it! Yes, and then eventually the dog could crawl under it! COOL!

Fantastic thoughts – have a few poles stuck in my garden just waiting to be used but we’ve been frozen out recently and my dog sadly has an injury to boot.

hi like vid again…i hve been using cones to work mine around but i see the poles are more versatile!!! with the cone work i have also used 4 placed out in a square shape and stood in the middle and sent the dog around the outside of them all…like lunging a horse i suppose with no reins!!!….. changing speed and direction often:)

Fantastic video! Bandit is so focused, quick and most importantly, intelligent and these personalities made him a fantastic dog to train!
